Reporting to the ONZ Chief
Executive, the Outdoor Safety Programme Manager is responsible for the
overall management and administration of the OutdoorsMark
Programme and the Risk Management and Safety portfolio for ONZ, which
includes
Research and Extension, the Register of Outdoor Safety Auditors, the
Safe As Outside
Project and the National Incident Database.
This Wellington-based role requires a broad understanding of the outdoor recreation and
education sector, a strong foundation of programme management and administrative
capacities, and excellent leadership, communication and critical thinking skills.
OUTDOORS NEW ZEALAND
Outdoors New Zealand (ONZ) was established in 1997 as the lead body supporting and
representing outdoor recreation and education in New Zealand. We advocate for our
members and promote safe and quality participation in the outdoors through visionary
leadership, innovative research, education, networking, consultancy, and standards.
