On Monday 9th June Mountain Safety Council will be holding an
Avalanche Awareness evening at Turnbull House.
MSC also runs Avalanche courses around the country
from late July. As part of this evening

I'd be keen to lead a trip into the Haurangi (Washpool etc, pref two cars/groups to swap keys halfway, either 2 or 3 days) it wanted to schedule a club trip to that piece of the world. A few outstanding (in the 'remaining' sense) huts to bag in that area. Quentin q@pleroma.org.nz 0272088965

Lots of options for tramping over summer and assisting in conservation and recreation work: track cutting, whio surveys in Whirinaki, etc. Doesn't earn money, but doesn't cost much/anything either.
