    Extended Rock Craft III

    Hello,

Matthias and I have decided 3 days is far to little climbing, and are thinking 2 weeks may be more like it! So if anyway else is keen to stay around for some post Rock Craft III climbing, and possible crashing of my moms house and eating all her food and going tramping if the weather turns nasty or we get hungry, you are welcome to join!

I'm thinking of heading back to Welly on Thursday the 30th of Aug (flying unless someone soon says they want to stay and have a vehicle and need to use the ferry) in time to go up Ngaurahoe. Not sure quite when and how Matthias is planning on getting back... I might sneak off to Nelson for a bit before I head back here too, but shall definitly be out there for atleast a week!

    Hola!!

I fully agree, 3 days will not do justice to paynes ford. And also, dont know how much instructing will get done down there, think its just going to end up a climbing trip...

However I am contemplating running a trad climbing trip to mangatepopo, possibly tying it in with snowcaving if i get 3-4 keen people who are ready to move on from sport climbing.

also had vague thoughts about mountaineering around arthurs pass during the break...

Heading back on the 30th sounds good. Ngaurahoe sounds pretty appealing.

Most important is climbing lots down there!

Woops, sorry Ollie, read Mt. Arthur instead of Arthurs pass... never mind, that will be even better!!

    Hi Ollie,

Well lets hope the weather improves by then... But it looks superbly fun!! So would you have a vehicle or is buses/hitching/sweet talking my mom called for? How are you thinking of getting back? (Just wondering if I should be booking plane tickets soon while they are still cheap or not).

    Hi Ollie,

Just checked out the calender and saw that the snow caving is for the 18-19. Where you thinking of having the climbing before that? We both have the 132 test Fri morning :( ... but I'm sure we could sit it early if we begged hard enough....

    Re: Extended Rock Craft III

Basically there is not much more time than one week then. I vote for rock climbing, rock climbing and rock climbing!

However, I have to make sure whether and when I have to go to CHCH for my measurements.
