    T-shirt designs

Check out the T-shirt designs we came up with on Tuesday here http://vuwtc.org.nz/cs/photos/tshirt2008/default.aspx - feel free to add some more or to redraw some of these better. We will decide on a final design after the holidays.

Feel free also to post comments here on what you think of them...

    Cheers,

The problem should be fixed now and all registered users can up load photos to this album.

Sorry, I forget I have special administrative permissions sometime - bushcraft and easter albums should now be generally accessible to members of the website for uploading too!

    Re: T-shirt designs

I've uploaded a redraw of Ben's "Huddle together for warmth" idea.

I like the concept but maybe some different words this time ("Huddle together for warmth" and "Intent on survival" were done a couple of years ago). I'm not feeling that inspired at the moment, so anyone else got ideas? I can change the design easily and upload a new version.

(Sorry for the typo in the design - I can't be bothered to change it right now.)

    Re: T-shirt designs

    Just uploaded an alternative.

Didn't we have this warmth thing just two years ago? I do find it quite appealing - but hey, let's be a little more creative. I just don't get the punch line in "Intent on survival". Wow, yeah, there is some kind of a double meaning in there. Sweet as. Consider, after all, that you actually gotta WEAR this shirt.

Do we really need a theme? This seems to be sooo...mewhat exerted at times. Probably we could balace the lack of a whacky (!) slogan by pure design and aesthetics - like for last year's t-shirt where this concept has been -and still is- very successful.

In order not to just have a rant here I tried to produce a usable contribution myself on a rainy weekend day... Have a look.

    Re: T-shirt designs

    That's pretty inspired!

Just a brief reply concerning the design I uploaded:

    • I thought this was the best concept to come out of the meeting night, so I drew it
    • I did suggest that the words should be changed as they have been used before, but didn't have any better ideas at the time. Perhaps it could just have "VUWTC 2008" on the back.

    Re: T-shirt designs

    Hey Guy,

Not sure if you saw my comment on the t-shirt, but my suggestion for a word change is to change "huddle" to "snuggle" or "cuddle". I mean, that is my favorite tramping club activity right up there with beating you up!

Was a decision ever made regarding these? When do they go on sale?

    Re: T-shirt designs

I'm happy with any design, but think we need to change the supplier. Last year's t-shirts were not as good quality as those produced in 05/06.  They shrunk and went out of shape quickly. What's the situation with getting it changed?
