Hey guys,
A reminder that we're still meeting down at the pub (Welsh Dragon Bar, end of Courtney Place), 7.30pm on Tuesdays.
This weekend is AIC, our alpine instruction course up at Ruapehu to teach you basic snow skills. The trip is limited to 25 people, due to equipment, transport and accomodation constraints and is already full - there may be a place or two going if anyone pulls out, otherwise there'll be chances next semester to pick up these vital winter tramping skills! See Alyn's post here for more details on the trip.
The following weekend we set off for the week long midwinter trip for Arthurs Pass...
You should have already signed up for both these trips and have heard from Alyn regarding them - we need to finalise numbers as soon as possible, to confirm and pay for bookings for transport, etc so please confirm your attendance/lack of by tomorrow night (Tuesday) at the meeting or by email to Alyn.Higgins@hanz.org.nz.
And finally a reminder that the cost for AIC is $60, and the deposit for midwinter is $50 (total amount to be confirmed shortly - likely to be less than $150). Please pay these before you go (again, this week please for AIC, midwinter deposit).
And don't forget to come along for a beer or two tomorrow! We'll have some maps and be furiously plotting south island trips as well as drinking!
Cheers,
Kieran
