Hey people,

Just a reminder about the 3 day weekend - we're celebrating the Queen's Birthday on Monday (even though its not her birthday) and the only way to do that is by tramping and climbing!

The club trip is heading up to the Kaimanawas, a rugged, expansive area of tops, rivers and bush unfortunately bisected by private land as Richie pointed out last week. Nonetheless, there is plenty of opportunity for some cool trips here - and the weathers looking up, so should get some good views of the central plateau volcanoes and maybe even a dusting of snow on the tops.

There'll be a couple of different trips at least to cater for easier/harder types, leaving Friday night and back Monday - come along to the meeting tonight at 7.30pm usual place to find out more and sign up (or email me if you can't make it).

Also Katie is teaming up with the palmy crew to do a climbing trip up at the new crag up Te Kuiti way if you're after some climbing action - let her know if you're keen.
