Wonderful weekly update

Hola everyone!

Hope you all had horribly exciting holidays (or a fun two weeks working!) There's a whole host of exciting stuff going on so plenty of excues for some quality assignment procrastination!!

-we're heading up into the Ruahines for some quality tramping this weekend. Kieran and Alyn have been conjuring up some exciting destinations, so drop me an email if you want to sign up or know more!

-a dazzling daytrip is being run to a mystery destination for those not able to commit to such solid procrastination! I'm organising this one too and was thinking of Belmont Regional Park as there's some pretty cool views and it's really close to the city but am pretty open to ideas so let me know if you want to come and have a better idea!

-after (hopefully) getting all inspired in all things conversation-y volunteering at Mana Island the other weekend, we have a trip to Kapiti Island next weekend. Kapiti's an awesome place bursting with birds you don't see on the mainland, like weka and takahe so a really cool place to visit. Sarah's organising this so drop her an email if you want to know more. We have to book by the end of the week and it's generally a pretty popular trip so make sure you get in quick! She'll have a sign up sheet tomorrow night too.

-meetings are back in the Student Union Building. We're in the Memorial theatre this week and will be doing some conservation-themed stuff. Nicolai's landscape photography workshop (where we can learn some secrets into his amazing photos) will be next week back in Meeting Rooms 1 & 2.

With all these exciting things going on, there's no excuse to be doing assignments so come get into the hills (or over to islands) (or even just to the Student Union Building) with us!
