  • Soap making party

Leanne sent me this. Sounds like heaps of fun!  I've begun to make our soaps and household cleaners and it's so easy, so exciting and so cheap...not to mention how much better it is for the environment.   We use so many cleaning products personally and for our home. We are duped into buying a different product for almost every ...

  • Gourmet tramping, hot pools and tubing!

Hey guys, this weekend's club trip is the Gourmet tramp to the Kawekas - although Hawke's Bay may seem a long way to go, the combination of hot pools (at both ends of the track), an easy 2-3 hour walk in beside the river and the aforesaid river to tube down the next day make this very worthwhile! Gourmet is all about throwing out your usual ...

  • Re: Hangi!

Hey Dudes and Dudesses, We're going to be having a bit of a working party, starting tonight at 5.30pm, or whenever you can make it. If you can spare a few hours to help dig holes, put pools up, clear tracks or clear a bit of combustable dead stuff, your help would be much appreciated. If you need instructions on how to get there, email me ...

  • Hangi!

I'm pleased to announce that another hangi is planned for Tuesday 11 December! This year promises to be bigger than ever - we have tested pool heating techniques and managed to get the pool to hot to sit in and we will revert to old methods to help ensure the food is cooked. For those who haven't been to a hangi, they are staged a short (10 min) ...
