Sadly, I can't come on Saturday to Ivan's trip. So, I'll go to the Rimutaka Ranges on Sunday, catching a train/bus at 9AM from Wellington station.
I'm looking forward to a medium trip, maybe on South Saddle or Mt Matthews, depending on weather and mood, having a good view on Wellington Harbour, the Rimutakas and the ocean.

Addendum: Today I got a mail from an upset local, he found the hut door open. I can't imagine that I have forgotten to close the door, I must have left the door not properly locked - shame on me.
I promise to double-check doors in future!
... and in deed, the hut is looked after very well. Compliments.
