Hi Everyone
With ANZAC Day on Friday this weekend is a 3 day weekend and an opportunity to get well into the Tararuas. There's a range of options, and the grade of trip will depend on sign ups. Options could include a Carkeek attempt, including a stop at the recently improved Dorset Ridge hut and Arete forks, or an ...

I think that's a good idea, as indeed there's no doubt that climbing forms an essential part of the club's activities and it would be good to get a feel among other clubs as well. Steve and I will also be participating in the Club discussions on Saturday as the Club's reps. Perhaps I could contact you Bryan once I know ...

And thanks to all who came along and made the trip successful.
Just remember also that if you haven't paid for the trip ($25) that we need to cover our costs and that you can pay the club treasurers, Jess or Simon, at the meeting on Tuesday.
You are also more than welcome to write about the trip and post photos from the trip ...

Should the tubing still go then there should also be scope to have a Maungahuka trip or some tramping variation depending on sign ups and what people want to do, probably in from Holdsworth. That said, I'll have a sign sheet at the meeting tomorrow night to gage ...

What's wrong with the duck?
I'd love to but I'm heading off down south this Friday night and won't be back until the last week in January. So please accept my apologies.
But I'd love it if someone could collect me and my pack from my place in Highbury and drop me down to the Bluebridge ferry terminal for 6pm on Friday. Yeah a bit cheeky, ...

See you all there for the last meeting of the year before everyone heads off. Some of you I'll see in Golden Bay.
But there’s 2 ways of getting there from town. From Aro st -> Raroa rd and then a sharp turn onto Highbury rd, then Harrold st, which is first on the left and then Zetland st, which is a no exit st on the first right. ...

At this stage my plans are to head south with Kieran and co for a trip to the Olivine Ice Plateau right after New Year and then perhaps some shorter trips in the Mt Cook area after that around 16th Jan, but I could help you out with suggestions as there may be others keen for tramping in similar areas at that time. Will keep you posted on plans.

Our plan is to ferry down on ...
