New Burn Hut sits in a clearing blasted from the leatherwood on a ridge between the Taramea stream and another unnamed tributary of the Mangahao.  It is double glazed, has an inside cloak/pack room and a bit of room to move.

Sleeps: Around eight on bench bunks.

Heating: None.

Camping: If you like your dirt hacked from the leatherwood there might be a chance.  Not really.
