 Tomorow is the best day of the year - WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY.

 There is some cool stuff going on to celebrate - a panel discusion tomorow and a free concert Friday night:

Panel discussion: How Do We Decarbonize The Word? - held by the Institute of Policy Studies on World Environment Day. 

President Anote Tong, Head of State of Kiribati will join the Hon David Parker, Minister Responsible for Climate Change Issues, Dr Rajendra Pachauri, Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and Achim Steiner, Executive Director of the United Nations Environmental Programme.  It will be chaired by Chris Laidlaw.

Join in a celebration of World Environment Day with top class folk and rock from Ryan Prebble, Samuel Flynn Scott and the Bunnies on Ponies, and tree shaking funk from Open Souls.

A special feature will be the measurement of the concerts carbon emissions, with the aim of creating a template for future eco-friendly events.

Reduce your footprint by walking, biking, skating or catching the bus to the town Hall - and make sure you turn the lights off before you leave home!

It is a FREE concert but limited to 1500 people. Tickets are essential and available from Ticketek.
