Hi some of you may be interested in the City Safari - a rogaine with a difference. 

What is it? 

 Either 3 or 6hrs of tearing round the hills/town belt/city streets of Wellington finding controls and scoring points. 

So far, so very normal... 

However the City Safari covers all the hills of Wellington - from the Hutt to Karori to Porirua.

Gosh, it must be for very fit people?

No, thats where the catch is - this is a rogaine where you can use public transport and part of your ticket price is an all day ride as much as you want ticket for buses, trains and harbour ferries.

Your route planning needs to take account of the transport timetables, its sort of like the Amazing Race without Phil's funny accent or the whiny couple who are both personal trainers (although if you're reading this you guys can come too)

This should be a really fun event and if you are keen to try rogaining/off road running but haven't found a place to start then an event that starts/finishes at Frank Kitts park and gets you into the fantastic local hills of greater Wellington could be just the ticket - literally.
