    Hangi!

I'm pleased to announce that another hangi is planned for Tuesday 11 December! This year promises to be bigger than ever - we have tested pool heating techniques and managed to get the pool to hot to sit in and we will revert to old methods to help ensure the food is cooked. For those who haven't been to a hangi, they are staged a short (10 min) walk in the bush and there are usually quite a few sore heads in the morning! So mark it in your diary!

Of course to stage such an event requires alot of work - both in preperation and on the day. If you can help chopping wood, carrying stones, preparing food or doing one of the many other jobs, please email me! Without willing voluteers the hangi simply won't happen.

Further details will follow, but spread the word - the more people the better. Lets really make this hangi go off!

    Craig

    Re: Hangi!

    Hey Dudes and Dudesses,

We're going to be having a bit of a working party, starting tonight at 5.30pm, or whenever you can make it. If you can spare a few hours to help dig holes, put pools up, clear tracks or clear a bit of combustable dead stuff, your help would be much appreciated. If you need instructions on how to get there, email me and i'll sort you out.

Also for catering purposes, if people could give me an idea of how many people are coming that would be very useful. I'll send out some more details (map etc.) later in the week, but a small koha of $5-$10 will be asked to help cover costs.

We will also need a bit of help with food prep, and on the day, so if you can help on monday night or on Tuesday day, that would also be very much appreciated.

Either email me using the contact feature of the site or post here.

    Cheers,

    Craig

    Re: Hangi!

Oh and just to confirm it is happening tommorow - there may be a little bit of drizzle, but it should be warm, and there's a pool!

Re: Hangi! - don't forget to pay!!

A big cheers has to go to Craig Ryburn and his many helpers for organising such a great monumental event.  It was brilliant fun, good weather, great swimming pool and great food

So thank you Craig from everyone!!  Another great Hangi!!

Just a quick reminder to everyone.  Please don’t forget to Pay Craig Ryburn for the Hangi ($10).  The Hangi has come out of Craig’s pocket and is not a cheep affair after all of the great food, generator hire and gas to heat that great swimming pool.

So everyone $10 to Craig R pronto

    Thanks

Re: Hangi! - don't forget to pay!!

Yay, I second that! Nice vibes and great food indeed; especially the spear ribs were yummy!

Could you flick me your bank details, Craig (R)? We could just pay our contribution online then!

    Cheers,

    Nicolai

Re: Hangi! - don't forget to pay!!

I'm yet to finally sort stuff out but will post any lost property on here. And cheers for coming and to the many helpers who helped the event happen, in particular Regan, Duncan and Guy. For those who haven't paid ($10pp) my bank account details are:

    National Bank A/C # 06-0606-0144279-00

If anyone is keen for a wander tonight, we are going to get the last of the stuff out, meeting at the rd end at 7pm. There aint heaps left down there, but if you are free, cruise along.

    Craig
