    Geoff in scotland

Well i finished my tour of ireland a week ago and had a really cool time the irish are an awesome bunch.

Am now in scotland-Edinbrugh seeing heaps, I think the city is starting to grow on me the longer i stay here the more i like it. Edinbrugh is a very scenic city with lots of really old buildings small alleys lots a stair ways, kinda like wellington. The castle is built on a hill a few ks from harbour the rest is downhill. Apart from hollyrood park to the east, which In the next few days i am going to walk to the highest point of, I am not sure though it is going to be a real challenge i might have to do some training first, YEAH RIGHT its lower than Mt Kaukau will take less than a hour.

Have found a few jobs starting soon just general labour work, then in a month time start a tractor driving job with live in accomdation so till then am staying in hostels which are great fun rooming with spanish, aussies, poms etc.

Overall am having a great time but do miss all my kiwi friends, more posts to come.

    Cheers

Well this time last year I was getting to the end of our tour, i think I was in switzerland enjoying the magnificent mountains and alpine ice caves.

I am currently living in edinburgh at the moment having a great time and meeting heaps of people kiwis, scots, aussies. A really nice city which i am really starting to like.

Have just come back from a six day tour of the scotish highlands and isles of skye, harris, lewis and the famous loch ness, I was also mad enough to go for a swim in the famous waters with the monster nessie it was extremly cold.

had more great times I saw the first sandy beach with clear waters in a long time.

Hopefully starting a job in about two weeks time on a farm in south scotland with livein accomdation, The work will mainly involve tractor driving and odd farm jobs, Having been unemployed for quite a while am actually loooking forward to it but i guess in two months time il want time off again oh well u can never win either way. Cheers Geoff Smith
