This coming weekend the club is running a trip to Mungahuka Hut in the Tararuas. Mungahuka Hut was recently rebuilt and is one of the newer huts in the Taruaruas. It is situated in a particularly nice spot and a short walk gives some stunning 360 degree views when the weather is good.

There has been a high level of interest so far so this is shaping up to be a good trip, a typical medium-fit Tararua tramp and the chance to bag quite a few huts!

What to expect: A reasonable hill climb on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. A good selection of tracks, routes, bush and tops travel.

I'll be organising the trip. At this stage I'm keen to lead it as well but I may not be able to for a number of reasons so looking for a keen person to step into this role if required.
