Antarctic Heritage Trust is hosting a special charity screening of 90 Degrees South. With an introduction by MARCUS LUSH, presenter of the TV series ‘Ice’, this is an opportunity to view a rarely seen documentary based on original expedition footage from Captain Scott’s heroic but ultimately tragic 1911 race for the Pole.
8.15pm, Wednesday, 16 April 2008, The Paramount, 25 Courtenay Place, Wellington. Complimentary platters from 7.30pm.
Pre book at the Paramount by credit card: 04 384 4488 (screenings in Auckland and Christchurch have been sellouts). Tickets $20.00. Cash Bar.
Proceeds go towards saving the expedition base associated with Captain Scott’s race for the Pole. Listed on the 100 Most Endangered Sites in the World the site is cared for on behalf of the international community by the New Zealand Antarctic Heritage Trust: www.nzaht.org
