Kate here, been out of the loop for awhile but hope all the club crazyness is still at a high level and no one is slacking off the Double Brown drinking in my absence, anyway, was just wondering what peoples plans are after New Years? I'll be in Takaka probably New Years day or the 2nd depending if I get destroyed paddling around Murchison or not and am keen for climbing and other associated fun stuff if people will still be around for awhile after new years? Have heard some people are off to the Olivines but was just wondering if there will be any stragglers keen for some more time climbing in hippyville with me :)

Hey and just a random quick notice to all those planning on coming and staying with the two coolest people in Mt Cook, make sure you stock up on food etc (especially booze) before you get here!! As you can imagine there's not masses in the way of supermarkets round here, the Four Squares at Tekapo and Twizel are pretty pricy! There is a bit of food in the souvenir shop at the Hermitage and some stuff like bread and milk is reasonably priced but the rest is a bit extreme ($10.90 for a McCain's frozen pizza!) And ditto with petrol- there are a couple of pumps in the village which are also on the expensive side. And you'll probably wear out your welcome fairly quick if you start eating all our food (and especially if you start drinking our booze!!)

Anyway looking forward to some adventures with some of you smelly people in the next little while!
