  • Karori Wildlife Sanctuary

    Hi AllIf you're round this weekend I'm heading to Karori wildlife sanctuary on Sunday.Meet outside the sanctuary (Waiapu Road, Karori) at 10 am on Sunday.  Entry is $10.  Kate will meet us later in the afternoon and talk about tuataras.  Give me an email if you are keen.  CoolSarah

  • Kapiti Island Day Trip

    So details... I have booked 30 places to go to Kapiti on Sunday May 6th.  However for Kapiti, permits from DoC need to be arranged in advance.  A permit is $9.  I have to confirm and pay DoC at least a week before we go.  So if you are keen to come, you need to pay me by Friday 27th of April, or preferably at next weeks ...

  • Matiu/ Sommes Island Trip

    Hi AllDay trip to Sommes island is happening on 14th of Aprilplan is to meet at 10am Queens wharf and return at 4.25.  Doc pays for ferry over there, but there is a limit of 20 people.  Not 100% sure what sort of work we will be doing yet but possibilities are: cutting down karo (pittisporum crassifolium?!?), tree planting, bird counting/ ...
