Good to hear!  Must get back there soon.  But there's so many places I say that about.

Yeah, I disagree a bit.  I have always been a fan of Kinvigs.  There is plenty of wood around, we sawed quite a bit of windfall and driftwood late last year.

Yeah the VUWTC gets in there a bit.  Good to see some other trampers using it too.  Did you see many Blue Duck down there?  The track from No Mans was quite overgrown in 2000.  The trap line up to the plateau has been a consistently dinky route however.

Progress eh? Shame to see places like this going.  Although a lot of new huts are going in I wonder whether they are really needed in some cases.  cf new South Ohau.

It's way North in the Tararuas in from Mangatinoka. Not marked on the 1:50,0000 map (it would be on the Palmerston North mapsheet), but is marked on the Tararua park map.
