one thing with leading on half ropes - its generally a good idea not to get them crossing too much. its hard to explain in writing but if you were to fall with the rope running over the other one (perhaps the second crossing in the picture) it can do all sorts of crazy things. like melting due to friction. :)

And also, dont know how much instructing will get done down there, think its just going to end up a climbing trip... However I am contemplating running a trad climbing trip to mangatepopo, possibly tying it in with snowcaving if i get 3-4 keen people who are ready to move on from ...

Oh yo man, that sucks :(However you can take it in to Bivouac, we send it off to someone (normally macpac, even if its not a macpac jacket) and they patch it up real nice.dunno how much it would be, probably less than $20 but we can get them to quote on it...just make sure its clean before you bring it in :pOllie

ok, finally getting stuff sorted and going to fergs tomorrow night! and yes, will bring a rope or two...also anyone keen on bouldering in the long room during the week? Im free between 11 and 2 every day of the week so need something to do or i will go crazy!!...and we dont want that.Ollie(going to be at the long room between 6 and 7 tonight ...
