Hi!

I'm keen on going to the Kahurangis (i.e the mountain range NW of the south island with the Heaphy Track).

I'll start at the 28th from Wellington, taking a ferry in the evening and try to hitch-hike to the start. I guess, I will make a stop at Paynes Ford 4km south of Takaka (see Craig's post).

My plans are not fixed right now, preferably off the great walks, e.g Douglas Range, Arthur Range, Leslie-Karamea-Track ... I'll bring a guide book and a map to the meeting in the Welsh Dragon next Tuesday.
