OK, the plan for this weekend is to drive round to Cape Palliser some time on Saturday, find a place to camp where we can enjoy the sunshine, swim by the waterfalls, scramble around the rocks and drink beer. We’ll go for a bit of a day walk on Sunday, maybe for a mission to find the mysterious Frog tarn (just cos it sounds cool).

Kieran has offered to drive, but we’ll need at least 1 more car going at this stage. Who else is happy to bring a car along? What time does everyone (particularly drivers) want to leave on Saturday?

Another option, if anyone else is keen for an actual tramp is to leave Friday night, camp at the Putangirua Pinnacles and on Saturday walk up to Pararaki Hut. On Sunday continue on past Kawakawa and Mangatoetoe huts out to Cape Palliser. Let me know if anyone is up for that.
