    Ok, I'm pretty sure (not 100%) that i aint going to france, so this is back on the cards. Given ollie is doing alpine type stuff in the second week I'd be keen to go in the first week and then go off with ollie in the second week, leaving those who don't want to come/don't have the experience to catch train/bus from Kaikora and then ferry home.

    Suggested Itenary:

    leave Thur 5 april night, drive to christchurch, then on Friday drive to bluff and catch 5pm ferry to Stewart Is.

    Tramp Sat 7th - 14th/15th depending on what ollie is up to. Drive back 15/16th to Kaikora to go climbing.

    Other option is to fly, but it's pretty expensive. Below is a rough costing for the trip - note I say rough!
