    Transition Towns Aro Valley invites friends & neighbours to

     

    MEET WITH US: Saturday 2 August

    TIME: 7.30 - 9 pm

    VENUE:  Aro Valley Community Centre, Aro Valley

    FEATURING: Presentation and discussion on peak oil, what it means to us all and how we can make the transition to self-sufficiency and resilience.

     

     

    • Why has petrol gone up?
    • How can we adapt and make Aro Valley more resilient to rising food and transport costs?
    • Bring your ideas and enthusiasm.

    The presentation will be preceded by facilitated discussion about peak oil and what we can do right here in Wellington to build more resilient communities. Tea and bikkies to follow.

     

     7) Job Vacancy *CAN Administration Officer*

     

    The Cycling Advocates' Network (CAN) is seeking an organised and motivated
    person to support its three staff and ensure its office runs smoothly.

    The role involves event coordination, processing accounts, dealing with
    inquiries, and running the library. Excellent communication, organisational
    and computer skills needed. Layout skills a plus.

    Wellington based one-year position, 10 hours/week, $20/hour.
