    ECO is hosting two seminars on marine issues this upcomming month. They should be well worth attending! See you all there. :)
     
     
    How to get engaged in marine policy and planning - 1 May
     
    Having your say on marine and coastal issues. Find out how to have input, which agencies to contact and how other New Zealanders are helping to conserve the marine environment.
     
    Date: Thursday 1 May, 2008
    Time: 6.00 - 8.00 pm
    Venue: Large gallery, Turnbull House, 11 Bowen St, Thorndon, Wellington.
     
    Whatever happened to Oceans policy? Regulation of the Exclusive Economic Zone - 15 May (Re-scheduled from March)
     
    What has become of the Ocean's Policy? It has shrunk to an EEZ regulation policy. Why do we need environmental regulation?  Your chance to hear about and discuss this. Topics include the fate of the Oceans Policy, some key issues and proposals.
     
    Date: Thursday 15 May 2008
    Time: 6.00 - 8.00 pm
    Venue: Reception room, Ground floor, Turnbull House, 11 Bowen St, Thorndon, Wellington (right opposite the Beehive and just one down from the northern end of the Terrace)
     
    Presentations will include discussion time and an opportunity to ask questions. Refreshments will be available on arrival.
     
    Attendance to both events is open. It would help us if you could RSVP to the ECO office (ecooffice@inspire.net.nz) if you will be attending. Please distribute the attached flyers to interested individuals and networks.
