Hello,
I am running a trip up Mt. Taranaki this weekend. Plan is:
Friday: meet hunter car park 5;30pm (or whenever works for people) and drive to the Taranaki ski field
Saturday: walk to the summit, spend the night on the summit
Sunday: walk down and get home
There will be an opportunity for ice climbing at the summit for those who are keen.
You need to be very comfortable with walking on crampons and being able to self arrest and have a good level of fitness (it is a mountain).

The trip is weather dependant. I will make a call at noon friday as to if it will be on or not.
