    Grüβ Gott and Greetings Peoples!

This is an invitation to an awesomely awesome Oktoberfest Party!

    When?              Saturday 27th September 2008, from 6pm.

Where?             My place: 30 Jefferson Street Brooklyn.

Why?               Not that we need any excuse to party… but come celebrate life, love, music, beer, travel and Germany… and farewell/celebrate the riddance of, Kit Napier, coz he leaves for Germany on the 29th September! :(

Costumes?       Are compulsory!!! – Uncostumed guests will be turned away, snubbed or dressed at the door! Oktoberfest themed would be awesome! Think Bavarian national costume, dirndls, lederhosen - leather shorts, gingham shirts, short dresses and aprons. Or if you prefer any other fabulous costume will do.

To Bring?         A fun, festive mood, folk dance moves and sing star voice! Some food and drink will be provided, but please bring beer and beer mugs/drinks, sausages etc for the BBQ, pretzels etc as you see fit. Or anything else you want, to add to the festive Oktoberfest atmosphere.

Look forward to seeing you there!!! :)

    Peace, love and strawberries from

    Heidi

P.S. I am also looking for a Play station and Singstar set up to borrow for the evening, so if anyone has access to one, or has any questions or fabulous ideas... flick me a text or an email or reply to this post :) phone: 027 3066728, email: rotogirl2007@hotmail.com.

    Re: Oktoberfest Party!!!

So i had a few more thoughts on this gathering...

*Our flat has a serious lack of seating :) Does anyone have any plastic/folding chairs etc of any description they may be able to bring along...????

    * The buses for those of you who need them are the number 7 or 8 which stop right at the end of our road and in brooklyn village respectively.

    * We have room for a few of you to crash on the floor and some mouldy matresses if you need, but generally, please plan to make your way home in the early hours of the morning :) Green taxis cost about 10 bux in2 town :)

Coolies, well I think thats it from me for the mo... hope you're all having a fab week and getting those costumes and beer bellies in order!

Sounds awesome – you know you can always fit more people in a room when there is no furniture.

    Re: Oktoberfest Party!!!

unfortunately Bavarian clothing is not everyday attire for me, so I don't have any in the closet, I do have some bavarian beer mugs though.

are you able to provide some lederhosen at the door?

    Re: Oktoberfest Party!!!

Glad you had fun lol! Me too! :)Thanks to everyone for their festive moods and for helping to make the evening such a sucess!

Just a note... my flatemate Brook...  the one with the tightest Lederhosen, has misplaced his silver olympus camera... so if anyone took the wrong one home by accident, or has seen it please let me know!

There is a little lost property also, including a medium black and blue slazenger polarfleece, a silver hip flask, a pair of grey Brittish Knight shoes, a bottle opener and a bracelet with brown wooden beads with chinese symbols on them :) ...which I will bring to the meeting tomorow!
