Righto, just realised this is the last week of uni before the holidays! I thought there was another one!
Anyway I'm pretty sure my feet are going to be sweet for some stewart island missioning, so the plan is:
Leave Monday 20th Aug in the morning and drive down to bluff. Get the ferry across to Stewart island on the tuesday morning and start walking that afternoon. Look to get out on Tuesday 28th in time to get ferry back to mainland and start driving back. What happens next is pretty unsure - I might look to head towards mt cook for a bit of climbing, but thats a bit up in the air at the mo. If this happens you'll need to jump on a bus from dunedin or somewhere back to picton. Other option is a bit of rock climbing around paynes ford type way. Whatever happens you wouldn't need to do it all - i can drop people at a resonably main center to get a bus or something.
So yeah, let me know if you are keen for any of this - depending on who's keen will depend on exactly how it shapes up. Obviously given this is all only a week away, need to get on to asap.
Below is a rough budget i did for last time (before the dirty french stole me!). Note this trip is not a club trip - so if it costs more you need to pay me more so i don't go broke! Also I just looked at intercity - you can go dunedin - picton in a day and it will cost you $78. Leaves at 7.45am and will get you there in time to get the 10.05pm ferry, so would be a long day but doable.
