To the hardcore trampers from 05/06 season,

Wishing you all an awesome mid-Winter trip and hoping your weather is much more inspiring than it is over here (half of the country is underwater and they call this the summer!).  For those that remember me (the other Richard Davey!) I've finally finished my degree and looking forward to some proper hill walking on the Tour de Mont Blanc with Irish Pete and Rachael Rhodes.  I've also been fortunate enough to get a job in Perth, Australia playing around with geological maps and finding minerals so I'll be a little bit closer to NZ: hope to share a tramp with you all in the distant future!

 Talking of emigration, I have a coursemate and good friend of mine called Jess who is due to start her PhD at VUW in September and is super keen to join in the tramping action.  She also needs a place for 3 months, after which she is on field placement, so if anyone has a spare room to offer that would be great.
