    non informative tour of parliament

so sophie has requested i show people round parliament etc.  which is all fine and dandy.  i'm thinking after work, so like six on a day that parliament isn't sitting, so monday or friday or a non-sitting week. let me know if you are keen and when would be a good time.

p.s. if you want to know historical facts i suggest you go on a guided tour.  they are paid to know stuff.

    I'm all in and keen,

    Who else is?

I propose next Friday (the 6th July) at 6pm, hear hear!

Sarah will be wonderful at NOT giving the typical historical guided tour. I'm imagining we can get up to some (non illegal) mischief with Sarah's access card! I'm sure we can fitting some tramping in somewhere, and be the first to tramp in Parliament!

I'm open some kind of slightly bizarre costume for us to where, like all hippies to honour Sarah, but not too scary or the security guards will throw us out probably.

ok ok i'm finally getting round to replying

so i think at the meeting we decided on friday at 6 ish.  so if we meet at six or thereabouts at the public enterance (sliding doors on parliament house with public entrance sign) that should be all good.  if you get lost ask a security guard.  they are very obliging. anyway then we can wander around and have a drink. and then hopefully we can get someone to pick us up and get us to sushi at my house.  mmm tomato sushi its the new craze

i'll find out if they have wheel chair's craig

     cool

I can probably drive if it helps - only got car (van is still in south island!) so can take 5. You'll have to put up with bad gear changes as i use my heel on the clutch tho!

    A wheelchair would be grand!

    awesome

and yes they do have wheel chairs

    i was also thinking

i finish work at five and although dale can't get there till six there is no reason we can't meet earlier and have a beer in the beehive.  if anyone can get there earlier, give me a text and i'll come and swipe you in.

Sweetbix. Beer at parliament sounds mean (actually beer anywhere sounds good...). How many wheelchairs do they have? Do you think we could have wheelchair races in the halls of power? Not that i'd condone that sort of thing of course ...

    Kia ora Sarah,

I'm going skiing. Thanks for the encouragement, but but that means that I have to leave 6 30pm Friday and can't come on the parliament tour. But I can come for a beer and wheelchairs 5-6pm...sounds like my idea of parliament anyway

What is your mobile no. to text you when I'm waiting outside? Or should every VUWTCer who wants a beer in parliament just meet you at 5 05pm outside the public enterance?

    Soph
