Still gazing at the wonderful colour blobs on metvuw.com for the weekend forecasts...
Is anyone in for a half day walk over Kapakapanui (1100m) on Sunday morning/noon?
I'd start at 9AM with a coffee at the train station and a train ride to Waikanae, cycle over to the track start (30min)... jump up the mountain, hoping for snow and a view, and get back past the hut to another coffee and scone in Reikorangi on the way back.
Maybe we are back at 3PM...
