    Next weekend?

    Hey crazy cats,

Does anyone want to go away next weekend? I'm going to try and get work off.. maybe a wee trip in the Tararuas.. Fabulous way to escape the horrendousness that is NZ politics.

    Hey Keryn!

Awesome, you are using this forum! There were two more guys on the meeting yesterday.
Manoel wants to organize something, but waiting for the weather to decide what!

Do you want to lead another hard Tararua/Ruahine trip!?

Whether I go on a trip or not depends a bit on my workload tomorrow.

    Cheers, Achim

(horrendousness: Do you know any political satire or comedy shows in NZ? I needed to go to those back in Germany every now and then for sake of my mental health.)

Seven days is about as good as it gets for NZ political satire.

And not this weekend for me next weekend.. but I'll have to see if I can get work off...

    Re: Next weekend?

On 26./27.11.2011 my trip 'Sunset on South Saddle' is scheduled. The idea is to camp on the South Saddle next to Mt Matthews(Rimutaka Range), which has an awesome sunset/view on Wellington harbour and down the Mukamuka stream to the ocean (sunrise). In contrast to other club trips, we will (try to) arrive before sunset instead of starting walking after sunset. The south saddle is (due to the view) pretty exposed, so it depends on the wind. The rest of the trip? Ideas, no decision... I'll post some advertising pictures, routes+options next week.

One week later, Manoel thinks of running a Ruahine trip to Sunrise hut. :-)
