The new trimester has just begun.  What better way to start off than with mid winter christmas in the Tararuas?

 We will meet at Hunter Carpark at 10am on Saturday morning.  The trip is heading to Mitre Flats, which is 3-4 hours and easy going.  We will have secret santa, so if you have a santa suit, bring it!  Also bring a gift $2 or less and creative.  We will sort out food groups closer to the trip.  Think about what to eat for dinner - traditional christmas food such as steamed pudding, or traditional tramping club food (nachos).  We will stop at the supermarket on the way to the road end.  Think about what you will need to get so that we don't get lost in the black hole of pack n save.

The cost of the trip will be $20 for transport.

This is a social trip, but you will still need normal tramping gear.  here is a link to the gear list... And remember to pack it in a pack liner!
