Whanganui Bay Rock Festival 29th-31st Jan

     Whanganui-Rock-fest.jpg

Climbers are invited to the inaugural NZ Rock Festival at Whanganui Bay on Auckland Anniversary Weekend 2011. This festival will bring together climbers, whanau and the Whanganui Bay Trustees to enhance future relationships between these key groups.

As well as stacks of climbing at the premier crag in the North Island the festival will include a bolting seminar and working bees to improve crag access and route identification.

On Saturday night the Whanganui Bay people will be putting on a beach bonfire and hangi and live band where climbers can get together with the local maori kapa haka and get to know each other.
