    Re: Ski/snowboard buddy

Last night I wrote an extremely basic webpage for checking the ski reports on your cellphone:

    http://cubalan.net.nz/snow/

Check it out on your computer first, but there are three pages(summary, detail for each field), and its about 10 times smaller data wise than the official sites.

Should prove useful, and more info than txt/phone reports!

Uses info (live) off these pages:

    Yeh so I've heard.

Got nasty itchy feet sitting here at my desk.

Especially with the sun being out!! Lunch on the waterfront :D

Meant to snow Sat-Mon so hoping for a nice powder day Tuesday!

    Re: Ski/snowboard buddy

    Hi everyone,

I just came back today from the mountain. I was skiing yesterday. Great snow!! but I had no luck with the weather, it was just one big cloud! It was sunny on the hole North Island, just one cloud was sitting on Ruapehu, what a shame. I am pretty disappointed...

Yes, it should snow on the weekend and then be nice during the week. I would be keen to go again and hope to be more lucky this time.

We stayed at the Teak Lodge in Ohakune (25$ a night) which was nice.

    See you,

    Pascal.

    Heya,

My flatmate got back last night. His dad had shouted him up and in the lack of visibility he was clever enough to ruin his knee :S Ouchies. It was beautiful here all week :) I escaped to the water front for lunch most days

$25 a night sounds like me!

Text if your keen for Tue-Thurs Pascal.

If anyone else is keen my cellies 021 339 705 :)

    Hey Hey,

So I've given my offering to the mountain gods and with a bit of luck they'll take pity on my lack of decent snow-ware tomorrow and give me some nice weather..

Anyone know what the deal is with the snowsports club website? They not been paying the bills?

    Re: Ski/snowboard buddy

Hey all!  I'll be going up to the mountain this weekend weather permitting.  Will be taking my car, and can take up to four others.  I'll be going up Friday arvo and coming back Sunday afternoon. The price for the weekend will be $50 per person including fuel and accomodation.  We will be staying in Turangi, and transport to and from the mountain, as well as the trip to and from Turangi from Wellington is included in the price.  Who's keen!? :)

    Lisa :)

    Re: Ski/snowboard buddy

Hey, I'm super keen for a weekend trip, but it depends on what time you will be leaving on Friday? I'm working til 5... Also, I have a board, does your car have racks?

    Andrew

Edit - it is forecast to be snowing on Saturday morning, then clearing - could be cheaper to leave early-ish on Saturday morning, only 1 night accom required...? My cell is 021 405493, if anyone is heading up with a spare seat let me know :)

My cell number is above for anyone needing to split petrol on a weekend trip - Pretty safe to say I'm keen every weekend, most plans can be canceled for boarding!

Hi everyone, I'm planning to go up to the mountain this weekend. I'm heading up up on Sunday or maybe Monday for the day. I've got a car but only my restricted so I'm happy to take people if someone has had their full for two years (I don't feel like fines sorry!). I've got one space in the ski rack and a reasonable size boot for gear/snowboards. I'm going to be heading to Turoa but could be convinced to go to Whakapapa if needed.

Let me know if your interested kgiven@xtra.co.nz

    Re: Ski/snowboard buddy

Have changed plans, I am now just heading up Monday for the day. So if anyone is keen to ditch uni/work... I've only got my restricted so it would be best if you have had your full for two years :)
