Mid Y is located in the Waiohine river between Mt Holdsworth (Isobelle) and Aokaparangi. Unfortunately its nearly 1000m up or down either.

Camping: yes on the helipad by the river.
If you camp on the helipad be prepared to move out quickly, often used by machines in the Wairarapa.
