I just wanted to post a big thank you to everyone in the club, officers and members, who put such time and effort into making the VUW TC what it is. Being in NZ for just one semester, it was tough to decide what to do and how to spend my time- I was greatly rewarded though with all of the adventures provided by the club! That I didn't have all of the gear didn't matter- there was always someone who had extras and was willing to borrow. That I was really new to tramping in general didn't matter- I was able just hop in and go with whatever was happening! It was a really awesome experience; I will highly reccomend it to anyone I come across who's going to Wellington!

Taranaki tramp

Hello all-

Peter and I were thinking of organizing a tramp over to Mt. Taranaki from Friday, June 3-Monday June 6. Probably won't go up to the summit, but hike around/ up partway/ it's really up for discussion. Also, the dates and times for leaving can be shifted if people can't get off of work, etc.
