... okay this was to make everyone read my post.

Some of you know me from the good old days, about 2 years ago.

I'm spending 5 weeks of holidays in NZ this year. I'm getting there next week and will spend some time in Wellington from 27 Jan. I am looking to go down south in early February but haven't made any further plans.

If you're keen to meet up for tramping, climbing, just a beer or anything else, drop me an email. Would be awesome to see some of you!

As a start, my friend Frank I are planning to do some bouldering at Baring head on 23 January.

Hey everyone!

It looks like you're having nice weather for freshers. I would really like to be there. Instead, I am focussing on indoor activities (indoor climbing, LAN party, drinking beer, ...) in good old cold Germany. It is around 5°C, too warm for snow, too cold for everything to dry. But no wind! - one thing I had to get used to after living in Wellington for a year. However, we had a few nice days a couple of weeks ago that we used for an awesome rock climbing trip to Fraenkische Schweiz! We're planning to climb some small Alp tops in early April and a rock climbing trip to Sweden in late May (very affordable, thanks to Ryan air).

Once again, it was absolutely awesome to be in NZ and with the club! I hope to meet again as many of you as possible some time in the future.

Road biking this Friday

Hey guys,

before I go to Auckland next week to do a cycling tour with my friend, I thought it's a good idea to check my cycling fitness. (which is crap, I reckon)

My idea is to catch the train to Masterton at Friday morning and cycle back, including the Rimutaka road. It's a nearly a 100km trip. The train leaves Wellington at 8.25, will be in Masterton at 9.55 and costs 14$ (no idea if they charge extra for bikes?). As I haven't done any cycling tours for ages, it will be very casual. I plan to be back around 17.00.

I would very much enjoy some company and especially someone who helps in the wind ;-)

However, you should definitely have done a trip in this order of magnitude before if you want to go.

In fact, I need about 20 minutes to the railway station and say 45 minutes to uni. :-P

Still, Wadestown is definitely the place to be!
