Sayer hut May 28-30

Hi there. Those that know me will remember how i managed to become lost heading to Totara flats freshers 2009. Well now I'm planning a similar route (without the getting lost part) next weekend. The plan is to depart Friday night for Holdsworth road end. Leaving Saturday to across 'gentle annie saddle' down to Mangataere valley and across sar track before staying at Sayer hut. Coming back Sunday by Totara creek and gentle annie track!

Scuba Diving PADI anyone?

Hey there

I recommend 'Splash Gordon'. I dont know the cost but they'll do a good deal. The pool dives are held at Freyberg Pool and the theory at the shop. They have a good crew and every weekend there's a shore dive, $35 full gear hire or $10 for tank hire. It's 432 The Esplande, Island Bay so you can fully gear up at the shop and immediately walk into the ocean for a shore dive, if the weathers right. Otherwise they'll ferry you somewhere else.

I have heard mixed reviews about Dive HQ in Kilbirnie, but you're welcome to try it out.

Splash also do 'free diving' (snokel & fins) course which I would be keen on. I'll be going for a shore dive this Saturday! Yo Shawn

Yes I'm keen for the season ticket for Ruapehu. Of course I will need boots skies and poles before then. If someone has this stuff lying around let me know.

Wellington Races

Hey :) The first race is at 12.35 pm.

There are 3 express trians leaving for trentham at 11.00 11.30.and 12.00 noon or otherwise there normal half hourly service.

Noon seems to be a good option. That's when I'm going anyway.

F69 Dive

Are there fishes up for a frigate dive this saturday. Padi divers can do this for only $35, which includes full gear and boat hire. It's a fundraiser for the westpac-trust helicopter rescue. Saturday's 3:30pm space is the only slot left open that day, and of course it's weather dependent. However payment is in advance. Letting me know at Tuesday's meeting is best. Shawn:)

Running in Wellington

For me it would be Otari Wilton's bush.

If you run up the hill behind and take a right at the top you can come out at Crofton Downs then follow the road down and home. Takes 50 minutes.

frigate dive next Sunday morning

Kai ora.

Well looks promising for a frigate dive next Sunday morning. I will try to pen in names this Saturday if they let me; it could cost more than the $50. The Frigate is 600 meters from the shore, hence a boat, and in 18-22 meters of water.

This Saturday I plan to do a shore dive somewhere. We could dive Houghton Bay, but lets decide on the day. So i propose to meet at Splash Gorden's around 9am. I am happy to give people a lift in my car.
