Really nice run is to do the typical makara loop - around the bottom of the cliffs to start with (don't go direct to the gun emplacements) - then when you hit the 4wd track to return instead go up the ridge closer to the sea. Good steep climb and cool views all the way along to the dun emplacements and back down to the start. Was out there at sunset a couple of weeks ago - stunning.

Worth knowing. Looks like you picked your day pretty well. Must just be the eastern approach to Angelus which is hairy then. It features on Mike Steel's classic runs..
