Hey all,

RockCraft this weekend 20-22nd April that's Friday night to Monday night. We will be heading to Wharepapa South, an Ignimbrite of the Taupo Volcanic Zone.

You do not need any previous experience - first timers are most welcome. The club has all the climbing and camping gear you will need.

First Ascent of Himalayan Peak

Tonight Geoffrey Lamarche a scientist for NIWA and also Jonas' dad, will be doing a presentation on his recent first ascent of a Himalayan Peak.

Climbing - Whanganui Bay

Heading to Whanganui Bay for a weekend of climbing. Beautiful sport and trad routes on the sun-soaked, south-west shores of Lake Taupo.Will be camping amongst a local indigenous tribe, Ngati Te Maunga. Sweet as.

Kawakawa Bay 5th-6th May

Looking to head to Kawakwa Bay - Taupo next weekend. 5th - 6th May. Weather permitting of course

Lead Climbing Experience (sport) prefered. theres also plenty of trad around if you have the gear and the balls.

Following weekend 12-13 May is Rockcraft. This is a great weekend to learn to lead climbing(sport)

About 10am hope to spend the day out there. Its nice bring a picnic lunch. Might get a small fire going try cook something on that
