Just looking at getting a season pass for ruapehu and wondering if there will be many others keen this winter for skiing/climbing trips as often as possible?? There should be lots of you! Ben

Hey all,  Does anyone have plans for the long weekend rock/snow-wise? Conditions on Ruapehu: Good snow high up... north island snow down low... and not much ice anywhere.  Kieran yesterday. Then it cleared and was a perfect day skiing.

Can we send a letter of dissaproval on behalf of the club? I think i'll be leaving town for the summer that day.

Yeah that sounds good.. a summit an hour. I've got a bag from the early nineties which i havn't got cold in yet. Could be a good oppertunity, i'd be all for a super light weight adventure. Being cold makes it easier to get up early. More fun on ski's to i guess. How many of thos peaks do you reackon we could ski tour in a day? Even carrying them ...

  Right, if anyones keen ... i'm thinking it's time to leave the short ice routes alone - so this weekend i'm keen to head up to the mountain... with craig (not that i've told him yet)... and climb all the peaks of Ruapehu with some type of cosy bivy on Saturday night. I havn't spent much time up on the tops there but i'm sure ...
