Heating: No. Camping: Limited but possible outside the biv</description><dc:language>en</dc:language><generator>CommunityServer 2.1 SP1 (Build: 61025.1)</generator><item><title>re: Mid King Biv</title><link>https://old.vuwtc.org.nz:443/cs/photos/tararua_huts/picture196.aspx</link><pubDate>Fri, 12 Jan 2007 17:00:16 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">16d72366-88ed-474a-b0cc-65d60f7c13e3:196</guid><dc:creator>Richard</dc:creator><description>&lt;p&gt;If trying to visit, the key to the route is to get to the 2nd to last open gravel patch on Mid King Spur before the beech forest. &amp;nbsp;Look for a small cairn and drop off to the right (looking down hill) into low leatherwood and tussock on a short steep face. &amp;nbsp;Pick up a series of cairns that zig-zag down and bring you to the entrance of the track hacked into the high leatherwood. &amp;nbsp;if you don't find this you are in for a grovel, once you do find it a good track leads to the biv.&lt;/p&gt;

The sort route to the bivvy is well marked once you emerge from the stunted bush. A beaut little location!&lt;/p&gt;
