Mouton Noir are the company that bought out Fairydown and brought it back from the brink after its episode of selling their products under the brand 'zone' in Australia. Apprantly they ( Aussie males) don't like wearing anything with the word ' Fairy' in it. As it transpired they didn't like 'zone' much either.

There is a good write up about Mouton Noir and who they are in the current issue of NZ Wilderness ( along with Sarahs review of the Holdsworth - Jumbo - Shingle peak trip).

In case you were wondering what to do with your brand new Cascade Pack now that it has holes in it (although apparently there is a huge back-log at the moment)...

Macpac has been brought by a company called Mouton Noir. Mouton Noir will not be providing a repair service. The ex-Product Support Team at Macpac have started a new business to take over the repair service.

The name of the new company is TwinNeedle Outdoor Gear Repair. TwinNeedle Outdoor Gear Repair are in negotiations with Mouton Noir to become authorised warranty assessors.
