First Aid Course

Hey everyone,

I got sent this info regarding a first aid course at Aro Valley Community Centre. Thought I would pass on in case anyone is interested.

Hi!

This Friday (the 1st of April) and next Friday (the 8th), we are running a
first aid course at the Aro Valley Community Centre at 48 Aro St, Aro
Valley. Taught by the inspirational Kate Nickson, this course will train you
to become a qualified First Aider, able to respond to emergency situations
with knowledge and skills.

The NZQA certified training covers:

CPR and resuscitation
All sorts of injuries
Poisoning
First Aid for infants and children as well as for the elderly
Strategies for managing first aid in large scale catastrophes (ie
earthquakes)

and more.

The course costs $150 for the complete course (or $75 for a one day
refresher course on either day) + gst. You will need to pay the instructor
on the day.

It runs from 9am - 3:30pm with a half hour lunch break and tea and coffee
will be provided.

If you, or someone in your organisation, needs to refresh a current first
aid certificate or get a new one please email Sarah and Linda at the Aro
Valley Community Centre:
