Also I've got off until the 10th of January, so afterwards I might be keen (weather dependent) to go further down the coast and climb something biggish and snowy like this:

New Years - in the mountains

Hey people,

So on the subject of New Years, is anyone else keen to go down south and hang out in the hills? I'm probably going to do a west coast trip of about 7-8 days in and around Ivory Lake - i.e. this place:

Currently it looks like me, Annabel, Terra plus maybe Jack, Hazel, Jason, others... It will be fairly rugged, hopefully involve some snow (ice axe and crampon skills required) and no doubt suitable quantities of rum/whiskey, etc on the big night! But definetely a trip for the reasonably fit and experienced only.

Let me know if you're interested, as I'll need to sort out transport options fairly soon. Rough dates of 28th December to 4th January.
