Hello all,

I just got this e-mail from Gecko. It looks like a awsome weekend! :) Sadly I will not be attending as it clashes with the bouldering champs, but for all you no-climbers I highly recomend going!

Fancy a weekend on Matiu/Somes Island? All expenses paid!
This weekend (Saturday 23 Feb - Sunday 24 Feb) the Karobusters have
their next trip to the island.

Karobusters go to the island about three times a year to help DoC -
the primary focus is removing karo and other weed species (hence the name). We have
also painted, removed rubbish and a few other tasks.

We also have a great social time in the evening - cricket and night
walks penguin spotting are the current favourites.

DoC provides free transport, accommodation , evening BBQ and breakfast. Everyone brings their own lunches.
