New Years in Golden Bay

Hey all it sounds like there's going to be a few people around Golden Bay area over New Years, and a few more that want to come down - sounds like a recipe for a party! Actually there's lots to do down there, from tramping, lots of cool rock climbing at Payne's ford, kayaking, lying round on beaches and of course drinking!

We'll have to book cars on the ferry fairly soon (currently looking at going around 26th or 27th of December) so if you have one and are interested then put up a post and we'll try to coordinate it all. This won't be an official club trip as such (have to book the transport and stuff yourself), more just a conglomeration of people who hopefully end up in the same place at the same time!

In terms of accomodation, both Terra and Amelia O have places down there who if you ask very nicely might let you stay! Also theres quite cheap camping at the Hangdog camp at Payne's ford.

More detailed plans to follow!

(also some people are keen on more south island adventures after including Stewart Island, Mt Cook and Mt Aspiring National Parks, Fiordland, etc - will put up a separate post concerning this)
