80k's is pretty casual.

My plan is to cycle around South Island from about Jan 10 till end of January. Maybe we'll meet somewhere on the road ;-)

I'll post more details when the time comes.

Hello,

Ever dreamed of biking the whole length of NZ? Well then this summer is your chance to make that dream a reality!! Ok, now I will stop sounding cheesy...

Some fellow members of SANE (Students of Aotearoa Network for our Earth) are planning a trip across the country this summer, and anyone who would like to join is welcome. And you don't need to do the whole thing at all - many are doing only part of it. So you can do anything from the wholw thing to half a day.

So far the plan is:

leave auckland on the second of janurary.
go down the west coast
get to parihaka before the 10th.
have a blast at parihaka
leave parihaka after the festival
get to wellywood sometime
go to south island
cycle down the east coast of the south
finish before mid feb when everyone goes back to uni

We are thinking 80ks a day, so quite casual.
